We provide quality

We make sure we work to the highest possible standards at every step of the way. To ensure that we do, we’re independently certified. We have good distribution practices (GDP) certification for the pharmaceutical industry in Germany and our German and Polish subsidiary are also IFS Logistics 2.2 certified (international featured standards). Furthermore, we have ISO 9001:2015 Matrix certification for the entire group, which means that all entities must be continuously audited to regularly provide the same high standards and quality of service.

On top of certification, each STI company has a dedicated quality manager who is responsible for all elements of quality delivery within that entity. This means that they deal with partners, suppliers and hauliers to ensure that they also work to the same high standards that we do. They also do spot checks and carry our internal audits to ensure everything continues to run well. On an international level, they regularly engage with colleagues throughout the STI world to exchange best practice and new ideas.

It goes beyond just the quality managers, however. As an organisation, we are committed to providing the highest possible quality of service and professionalism in everything that we do.

We have the right fleet

Only audited and fully compliant carriers become part of the STI family. We work with carriers that have the same devotion to providing quality and going the extra mile like we do. With vehicles at their disposal across Europe, they’re and integral part of our organisation and have undergone a strict process of auditing and control for us to work with them. We have both a dedicated group of hauliers and a strategical carrier pool of hauliers who also work on the open market.

These are all partners we trust and know well, which means we can be sure to offer you the highest possible quality of service and a great deal of flexibility at the same time.

We also own trailers that are state-of-the-art, dual temperature-controlled, fully digitally connected and always up to date. They are equipped with the latest technology and security features, such as automatic door locking and geofencing.

We're sustainable

We’re fully aware of the roles transport and logistics play in contributing to worldwide emissions. This awareness is what constantly drives us to find innovative and more sustainable solutions for our transport activity.

We are always looking at various ways we can minimise our footprint and help to make the world a better place. How? We calculate the most effective and efficient ways cargo can travel and take a variety of factors into account. One example is using a so-called ‘short-sea’ route. This combines road and maritime travel to reduce CO2 emissions as well as kilometres travelled by road. Rail can also be used as an alternative, which is more environmentally friendly. Thanks to our digitalisation roadmap we will continue to decrease empty mileage and make better use of truck capacities, optimising our transport planning and reducing CO2 emissions and kilometres driven. To top it off, we use paperless invoicing and increasing the processes we handle digitally. Small steps in the grand scheme of things, but every little bit adds up.
